Mad Max remake - Will it rock? What cars feature?

If you haven't seen all the original Mad Max movies, there's summin' wrong with you. They're brilliant, even now, although the filming and acting is a little on the B-grade side. Some cult movies just have to be seen. There's a remake on the way next year, and with big names in the cast, you can be sure that it will be a pretty wicked visual affair - our own Charlize Theron features, minus an arm though. Luckily her arms aren't her best feature.

I'm just keen to see if there's any focus on the cars themselves. In the original 1979 Mad Max movies, the main chap was Max Rockatansky (Mel Gibson) and his car was a V8 Inteceptor with a nice big supercharger sticking out of the bonnet. The car was a wrecker, but in that post-apocalyptic time, it was something of envy. I'd go into more detail but there's really not much information out there, I don't think the film makers back then realised how much of an impact the movies would make or they'd have better bios for all the actors and information on the props.

I hope that the new Max (Tom Hardy) also has an epic car that will have fans and model car companies making replicas too. Until we know what's what - have a look at the trailers that have been released so far...
